National Institute of Justice is soliciting applications to advance knowledge regarding the confluence of crime, justice, and culture, particularly in diverse cultural contexts. DuBois Fellows will focus on policy relevant questions in a manner that reflects their saliency as an integral part of the American past, present, and, increasingly, the future. Topics of interest include transnational crime, human trafficking, ethnographic studies, police-community relations, and immigration, crime and victimization.

The Minorities In Government Finance Scholarship is open to current full-time or part-time upperdivision undergraduate and graduate students in public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration (with a specific focus on government or non-profit management). Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada and belong to one of the following groups: African-American, Native American, Hispanic, Eskimo or Aleut, Asian or Pacific Islander. Applicants are required to submit a recommendation from their academic advisor, department chair (undergraduate applicants), or dean of the graduate program (graduate applicants).

The Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships are available to students for either three or six months of intensive language study and cultural immersion in another country. This award provides funds to cover round-trip transportation, language training expenses, and homestay living arrangements.
